Monsters Inc. (2001)

One of those movies with a very new and interesting concept, derived from our childhood fear of monsters. This monster universe is powered by children’s screams! Hence the monsters from Monsters Incorporated come into our world and scare the pants of us, to get our screams. James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) is the top scarer at Monsters Inc. and Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) is his best friend.
As times changes children get more difficult to scare, which leaves the monster universe with a power shortage. Now it’s up to the monsters at Monsters Inc. to pick up their game! But in this time of crisis a new problem arises as a kid enters the monster realm. Now Mike and Sully take on the task of returning the kid to its home and in the process, can they solve the power problem? Well, you’ll have to watch and find out.  Like most animated movies, this one has some basic plot and some good animation. It’s entertaining and family friendly. And a concept that links back to everyone’s childhood memory of wondering if your room door will open and a monster will come out of it. Otherwise it’s a simple movie which your whole family can enjoy.
